Wiencek + Associates Joins Torti Gallas + Partners Under the Torti Gallas Flag

Both firms share a deep commitment to exceptional architecture and planning as important means of empowering social equity, improving well-being, and strengthening communities.

TG+P, an award-winning DC-based firm with a passion for architecture, urban design, planning, and placemaking, is excited to announce the acquisition of Wiencek + Associates Architects + Planners (W+A), effective May 1, 2026. Both firms share a deep commitment to exceptional architecture and planning as important means of empowering social equity, improving well-being, and strengthening communities. The merger is an exciting combination and expansion of expertise in planning, urban design, multifamily, affordable, senior, and supportive service housing, renovation, adaptive reuse, and interior design.

“As TG+P approaches 75 years and Wiencek + Associates celebrates its 40th anniversary, our two well-established firms are coming together to build on shared expertise in architecture, planning, and placemaking.” said TG+P President Murphy Antoine. “My early conversations with Michael Wiencek quickly revealed that not only do we share many great clients, but our practices share a fundamental view that architecture and planning should come together to create and contribute to vibrant and beloved neighborhoods.”

“For four decades, my firm has served great clients and communities through the master planning and design of important projects that have transformed neighborhoods and the local environments which we serve. In TG+P, I have found a partner who shares that mission and together we will continue creating beautiful, efficient, and sustainable places,” said Michael Wiencek, founder of Wiencek + Associates. Michael and his entire team are joining TG+P with Michael serving as an Executive Principal.

Antoine added, “In an industry that continues to see a sharp uptick in merger and acquisition activity, this combination has a clear alignment of culture, values, expertise, service and quality. With work from TG+P and W+A our clients and communities get innovative design solutions based on a proven track record of successful results."
