Student Scholarships – Request for Donations
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS – REQUEST FOR DONATIONS
I am writing in this unusual time where we find ourselves trying to carry on in spite of the challenges of the health crisis. Such is the case with the Potomac Valley Architecture Foundation's premier annual event, the Golf Outing fundraiser for student scholarships. For 14 years, our generous sponsor and organizer, Ernest Maier, has provided the platform for a fun day out on the links, where we have raised as much as $10,000 in one day! Necessarily, the event was cancelled this year, yet we are hopeful that we will be able to proceed in May of 2021.
While this year's tournament didn't happen, students still have a need—so this year we are endeavoring to raise funds through direct donations from our AIAPV members and sponsors. All monies raised will be given through scholarships to Architecture students at Montgomery College. When you and your colleagues assist in this effort, we will all show our commitment to our community, especially in this time of great stress for these students. By coming together, we can continue our tradition of providing support for those coming into the field of Architecture. I thank you in advance for your generous contribution.
