Decades of Passion Reaps Rewards with Local Custom Builder

Finecraft Contractors is not an average contracting company. We're a family business with family values...that stem all the way back to Greece.

Our company founder and president, George Papaheraklis, established this company in 1985, with the belief that a group is as strong as these four points are believed in — ethics, integrity, high-quality craftsmanship and a high level of communication — which are followed by every individual in our Finecraft family. Homeowners and architects are often surprised at what lengths we go to get something just right: From personally ordering rarified marble from the quarries of Italy and Spain, to hand-carving a Brazilian mahogany bannister going up 3 flights of stairs, and even the less crafty tasks of ensuring each project is clean and orderly after a day’s work, or even answering a client's question at midnight. We don't just do this work because we have a contract, we do it because we care about every detail.

A client of ours from Kensington said it best, "They do the finest work, they use the finest material they can find appropriate to the budget you're working with. And at the end of the day it's about them making sure you're happy with the product."

Over the past 3 decades we've been honored to work with some of DC's finest architects and designers. From baths and kitchens to custom homes – we do it all. When one engages in a working relationship with Finecraft he can be certain that he'll have a dedicated, reliable and hardworking team on his side from the beginning to the end.

You needn’t take this at face value. Throughout the year Finecraft holds open houses and seminars to give people an opportunity to see our craftsmanship firsthand and to show them the details that earn us home improvement awards.

On December 3, at 6pm, we’re holding our Annual Holiday Party, showcasing a transitional custom house we built from the ground up that brought us home an MBIA Gold Award. Coincidentally, just this month Bethesda Magazine published a 3-page article on this Bethesda home in their November-December issue. For details about the party and to RSVP click here. We invite you to come and find out more about us.
