Live Webinar with Grimm + Parker
AIAPV has partnered with Grimm + Parker Architects to offer a limited number of seats for live webinars of the firm's Lunch & Learn CEU events on the first Tuesday of each month. AIA credits will be reported by the presenting vendors. Registration through AIAPV is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Registrants will receive the WebEx log in credentials the day before the webinar.
AIAPV appreciates Grimm + Parker's support in enabling the chapter to provide this valuable benefit for the convenience of members unable to get to our educational events in person.

Fire and Smoke Rated Curtains
Course Description
This course has been designed to acquaint the participant with the many aspects of Fire and Smoke Rated Curtains and the specific Code Requirements relating to the curtains and their applications.
1 LU/HSW
Learning objectives
- Participants will be able to understand and comprehend the basic guidelines for smoke migration and smoke management.
- Learners will be able to analyze the use of draft curtains as they pertain to smoke migration and smoke management.
- Attendees will compare the characteristics of the flexible fabric egress door and the current egress requirements of the IBC.
- Participants will review the building code requirements of opening protectives and how those requirements relate to flexible fire and smoke rated fabric.
