Live Webinar with Grimm + Parker 

AIAPV has partnered with Grimm + Parker Architects to offer a limited number of seats for live webinars of the firm's Lunch & Learn CEU events on the first Tuesday of each month. AIA credits will be reported by the presenting vendors. Registration through AIAPV is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Registrants will receive the WebEx log in credentials the day before the webinar.

Course Description

Understand the benefits and capabilities of designing and building with polymer windows and doors – from energy performance to cost to comfort. Learn about polymer and its superb thermal performance, sound abatement properties, simple installation, and building capabilities. We’ll review solutions for mid to high-rise, window walls and storefronts, and review how to achieve beautiful design in affordable to luxury projects.

Learning objectives

  1. Understand what polymer and uPVC is, and how these fenestrations are made.
  2. Compare fenestration solutions and materials, and the benefits to polymer.
  3. Assess polymer window and doors diverse design capabilities.
  4. Review polymer system’s benefits from performance, to energy certifications, to health.
  5. Review case studies of effective fenestration selections.
