The Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the American Institute of Architects announces that it will hold its annual Crab Feast at the historic preservation site of the Cloverfields Plantation Home and gardens in Queenstown, Maryland, on Thursday evening, September 12, 2019. This annual celebration of traditional Maryland steamed crabs, barbecue chicken and sides, and adult beverages has been traditionally held in the Annapolis area, home to the Chapter’s headquarters. This year’s Eastern Shore venue will offer guided tours from 5-6 PM of the home and gardens being restored by Cloverfields Preservation Foundation, worth 1.0 AIA Approved Learning Units for anyone who needs continuing education credits. Kimmel Studio Architects and historic restoration contractor Lynbrook of Annapolis will be on hand to answer questions about the project. The crab feast will follow under the tent from 6-8:30 PM, featuring music throughout the evening by Kate Fleming.
