Matthew Kreilich, FAIA, design principal and partner of Snow Kreilich Architects, 2018 AIA Architect Firm Award Recipient, and chair of AIAPV’s 2019 Excellence in Design Awards Jury, will share his perspective about the inner workings of running a successful firm. Matt is the heart of his firm’s collaborative working model taking an active role in both strategic and detail design resolutions in the studio. He provides design leadership and insight into all of the firm’s projects, as well as acting as the project designer on some of the studios’ most significant projects.

The discussion will begin with a brief introduction of the firm’s history, work and design ethos. Matt will explore a range of topics around their practice including leadership transition, design integrity, and the benefits and challenges of maintaining a diverse portfolio. 

The Master Class will take place at Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Bethesda North located at 940 Rose Avenue in North Bethesda just a few steps from AMP by Strathmore, making it easy to attend Celebrate Design 2019 immediately afterwards.

Course Description:

A discussion about the practice of architecture will begin with an introduction to the work and design ethos of Snow Kreilich Architects. The interactive dialogue will explore a range of topics including leadership transition, design integrity, and the benefits and challenges of maintaining a diverse portfolio.
