AIAPV has partnered with Grimm + Parker Architects to offer a limited number of slots for live-webinar online-access of the firm's Lunch & Learn CEU events on the first Tuesday of each month. AIA credits will be reported by the presenting vendors. Registration through AIAPV is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Registrants will receive the WebEx log in credentials the day before the webinar.

Systems Approach to Advanced Glazed Structures
Course Description
The course will cover integrated glass and steel specialty systems, new technologies in advanced steel fabrication, ETFE for higher transparency and cost efficiency and the evolution of structural glass systems.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will be able to employ a "systems" approach in the design of integrated glass/ETFE and steel specialty structures.
- Participants will acquire an understanding of new technologies in steel fabrication for their incorporation into the design of glazed specialty structures.
- Using the course information, participants will acquire an understanding of ETFE attributes and characteristics to utilize in the design of ETFE facade, skylight atrium, and canopy applications.
- Participants will learn to compare a systemized Designer Assist process to a conventional design approach in addressing "value engineering" and maintaining high-value architecture to budget.
