AIA Maryland invites members to join us at the Chapter House, steps away from the State House, for lunch (11:30am - 1pm) and informal conversation with legislators about issues affecting the practice of architecture in Maryland. The Legislative Committee will share our legislative priorities and issues of concern for the 2020 Legislative Session as well as provide talking points for you.
Options this year include: a morning tour of the State House including time in the gallery with a group introduction from the floor and, the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one meeting with your legislators in their office after the luncheon.
Arrive at the Chapter House no later than 9:30am and enjoy a tour of the State House before the luncheon. Members will be seated in the gallery for a portion of the morning session (20-30 minutes) and be introduced by the Speaker. Next, members will be treated to a tour of the State House (45 minutes) concluding by 11:15am so you can be back at the Chapter House before legislators begin to arrive for the luncheon.
If you are unable to join the morning tour, consider a self-guided tour after the luncheon.
NOTE: This event requires a lot of walking and a good amount of stairs.
FREE, but please register.
