Course Description

The purpose of this presentation is to provide in-depth knowledge of Architectural Sliding Door Systems. We will provide the most up to date and detailed information to help you understand how performance and design objectives can be achieved with this type of product.

This session will cover critical aspects, such as product characteristics, properties, specifications, and installations to improve the decision-making process. This presentation will also demonstrate how sliding doors systems can be used over a variety of building types such as healthcare, hospitality and commercial office space.

  1. Understand how sliding doors reduce space requirements of door openings.
  2. Determine how sliding doors improve life safety within buildings by reducing hallway congestion and stopping swing doors from hitting people.
  3. Review the different ways sliding doors can function.
  4. Discuss how to write specifications for sliding door systems.
