Designing with ACM for Finish, Form and Function
Course Description:
Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) is a versatile, long lasting, building material offering economical and efficient solutions for exterior and interior applications. ACM panels are durable and weather resistant, lightweight and flexible, and easy to fabricate and maintain. With an endless range of paint and natural metal finishes that each have their own distinctive advantages ACM panels are an excellent solution to add color, contrast and shape to any commercial building and a great tool for corporate image branding on retail facilities.
This presentation shows some common ways to manufacture, test, fabricate and install ACM. As we go through this presentation, it is important to understand that ACM manufacturers are not responsible for how ACM is fabricated, installed or how systems using ACM are designed. There are specific laws and building codes that apply and some of these are mentioned in this presentation.
