Online Meeting via Zoom

AIAPV has operated thus far in 2023 without a President-Elect—but we are pleased to announce that Danyle Brooks, AIA has agreed to stand for election to this position. If elected, Danyle will serve out the 2023 term as President-Elect and then would become AIAPV’s President in 2024. Danyle’s election as President-Elect would leave an empty Director seat on our Board but, once again, we are pleased to announce that Josh Mohr, AIA has agreed to stand for election to a two-year term (through 2024) on our Board of Directors.

We will hold a Special Membership Meeting on Monday, March 6, starting at noon ET, to discuss and vote on these nominations. The meeting will be held via Zoom and is free, but AIAPV members must register in order for your vote to be counted. You will receive the meeting’s Zoom link upon registering, and again in a reminder notice you will receive prior to the meeting. After the election, we will conduct an Open Forum with members, to hear what’s on your mind and to solicit your suggestions for educational programs you would like the Chapter to offer.

For members who are not yet familiar with Danyle and Josh, here is some brief biographical information about them:

Danyle Brooks, AIA
Senior Associate
Grimm + Parker Architects

Danyle has over 28 years of product / material research, design and document production detailing, quality control and construction administration experience of exterior envelopes and fenestrations at G+P working on a variety of projects and project types, including project assessments, feasibility studies, new construction, renovations, and modernizations for K-12 educational, residential, and public sector facilities. Danyle is accustomed to project inspections, identification of punch list items, review of shop drawings and submittals, RFI’s and Contractor Pay Requisitions. He regularly participates in an interactive design process to define project scope and prepares presentation materials for clients.

Josh Mohr, AIA
Associate
Anne Decker Architects

Josh is an Associate at Anne Decker Architects where he has worked on single-family residential design for the last twelve years. He enjoys developing close, interpersonal relationships with his clients and designing well-crafted homes with sensitivity to scale, sense of place, and attention to detail. He hopes to bring that same enthusiasm to the AIA PV board of directors and to share his ideas with his colleagues, chapter wide.

Josh currently resides with his family in suburban Maryland where they are slowly renovating their house and spend the summer months working in their garden both learning to grow vegetables and how to replace their non-native landscaping with native options.

Please join the AIAPV Board of Directors for this brief special meeting of the membership to meet and elect Danyle and Josh!

AIAPV members must register in order for your vote to be counted. The Zoom link is provided in the registration confirmation.
