The Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services (DPS) is hosting a Stakeholders Forum for architects, builders, contractors, designers, developers, engineers, land use attorneys, permit expediters and other professionals on Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the second floor Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) auditorium at 2425 Reedie Drive in Wheaton. The first 30 minutes will be a meet and greet session.

 

Topics to be discussed include:

 

  Dashboards with target review timeframes and performance;

  Pending Building, Fire, Energy and Green Building code changes;

  Outcomes and recommendations from the Development Review Process Workgroup;

  New DPS vision, core values and initiatives;

  Impact taxes;

   Comprehensive fee study;

   Residential Fast Track Program;

   Small Business Permitting Program;

   Technology updates;

   Land Development Peer Review Program;

   Commitment to exceptional customer service;

   Community outreach activities, including the new DPS Podcast; and a

   Questions and answers session.
