Windows with a View into the Historic Rehabilitation of the Cincinnati Music Hall (Webinar)
This course aims to demonstrate the initial planning, research, design, and execution that goes into a large window rehabilitation project through the lens of a key National Historic Landmark, the Cincinnati Music Hall, built in 1878.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will learn more about the initial planning, research, and investigation that is required on a rehabilitation project.
- Participants will learn about the fenestration solutions selected for the restoration of Cincinnati Music Hall.
- Participants will be able to understand and explain the economic and environmental impacts of historic preservation.
- Participants will compare window replacement challenges and considerations, especially for historic tax credit projects.

About Brooke:
Brooke (McGrath) Brown is an Architectural Consultant for Marvin Windows & Doors. Her career has involved collaborating with architects, specifying the RIGHT product for the job, assisting with mulling, specifications, and details, and educating our building community with top-of-the-line fenestration offerings.
She currently serves the Metro DC & CA area. Before joining Marvin in 2021, Brooke worked for a large architecture firm for 6 years. She was one of a few in a boutique residential studio, so had the opportunity to work through all phases of the design process. The custom residential firm specialized in coastal architecture with a keen attention to detail. Selecting high quality products that stand the test of time was always of utmost importance. She is a designer at heart, so being able to work alongside architects every day, and being asked for guidance in their design and projects is the biggest honor she has as an architectural representative.
