Anchoring & Reinforcing the Masonry Wall
This course provides comprehensive understanding of techniques and best practices for anchoring and reinforcing masonry walls to enhance their stability and durability. Participants will learn about various types of anchors, joint reinforcement, and materials used in masonry construction.
Prerequisite Knowledge: Basic knowledge of the masonry wall.
Credits:
1 LU/HSW
Please note: You must attend the entire session to receive continuing education credit.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the components of masonry walls.
- Identify the importance of masonry anchors and design.
- Identify different types of masonry anchors and joint reinforcement and their functions.
- Discuss resulting issues when using specific masonry veneer anchoring systems.
